Race For The Right House
Adoption program aims to find loving homes for overlooked and special needs pets
DETROIT – We’re in the final stretch of the campaign season, and with just weeks to go until Election Day, the Michigan Humane Society (MHS) has a number of candidates who are pulling out all the stops to win your support.
But they don’t have a political agenda, and you can actually trust that they’re going to do everything they can to create a brighter future for you and your family – they are MHS adoptable dogs and cats who are looking for your vote to help them get into their Right House!
These animals are here at the Michigan Humane Society through no fault of their own, and sadly, some of these dogs and cats tend to get overlooked for one reason or another.
They may be older or have a lifelong treatable condition, but whatever the case may be, they need a little extra help to find that perfect home. With the Race for the Right House, we can help them find their right house – yours!
Because MHS has no time limits for adoption or predetermined length of stay for any animal, some pets – primarily cats – spend weeks or even months, waiting for a home.
The Race for the Right House campaign is to benefit these pets – overlooked or special needs animals who may need a little bit of extra help to find a loving family.
These could include senior pets, three-legged pets, or those with other manageable health conditions.
The candidates are featured at www.michiganhumane.org/race, with pictures and biographical information.
